How to play the Corridor game
- Set up the board. Both pawns start in the middle of opposite edges of the 9x9 board. Each player takes 10 walls.
- Take your turn. On your turn either move your pawn one square orthogonally, or place one wall between squares. Never both.
- Use walls to lengthen the other route. A wall blocks two squares of movement and stays permanently. It is legal only while both players still have some path to their goal row.
- Jump when face to face. If the opposing pawn is adjacent, jump straight over it. If a wall or the board edge sits behind it, step diagonally around it instead.
- Reach the far row. The first pawn to reach any square on the opposite row wins the game.

Three ideas that win Corridor games
- Count both shortest paths before every move. A wall is only worth playing when it costs your opponent more steps than it costs you.
- Treat walls as currency. Running out first means the rest of the board gets shaped by your opponent alone.
- In a wall-less race, the player to move with the shorter path wins - check the count before you spend your last wall.

Corridor is a two-player abstract strategy board game played on a 9x9 grid. Each player has one pawn and 10 walls. You win by walking your pawn to the row on the opposite side of the board, while using walls to lengthen your opponent's route.
How do you play the Corridor game?
On each turn you do exactly one of two things: move your pawn one square up, down, left or right, or place one of your walls in the groove between squares. A wall spans two squares, cannot cross another wall, and can never completely seal off a player's last path to their goal row. If the two pawns end up face to face you jump over the opponent.
